On 12 July 2008, Praxis embarked on its 1st Annual Community Health Fair organized by the Workforce Development team. Volunteer vendors included Harlem Hospital, Prudential Life Insurance, and Millennium Respiratory who were on hand to do free blood pressure and glucose screenings, CPR demonstrations, and to lend free advice to the community.

DJ Putemup (aka Cornelius Higdon) was spinning tunes, Praxis staff and clients manned a voter registration table, and Floyd Cuevas took charge of the grilling. Free massages were available and a massive bouncy castle and face painting kept local kids amused all day.
